OPTICAL DISPENSER/CLINICAL ASSISTANT – BOUTIQUE OPTOMETRY PRACTICE

We are a small, independent boutique Optometry practice located in the heart of Hamilton East and are looking for a friendly, vivacious Optical Dispenser to join our close-knit team.

Our practice combines clinical excellence with premium eyewear styling in a beautiful space. Our clients value personalised care, professional expertise, and the finer details – and so do we!

The Role:

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, friendly but professional atmosphere
• Assisting with pre-testing and clinical procedures including contact lens teaching and visual field testing
• Managing bookings, phone enquiries, patient records and other admin tasks
• Assisting patients with eyewear selection including frame styling and lens selection
• Managing orders, follow ups and supplier communication along with adjustments and minor repairs
• Please note you must be available to work some Saturday mornings (approximately one in three) and occasionally full time hours covering staff leave

 

About You:

• We’re looking for someone who is:
• Well presented and confident with excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong organisational abilities
• Experienced in the optical industry
• Pro active, can do attitude and oozing enthusiasm
• Reliable and flexible (this is the key for this role)
