Macula Degeneration

Macular degeneration occurs when the area of the retina responsible for precise and detailed central vision when looking at things straight ahead (the macula) gets damaged.
In some cases the central vision can appear distorted, but when at its worse there can be a complete loss of central vision making it impossible to drive.
